Emma Kapteyn (she/they) is a teacher, choreographer, and dancer based in Chicago, Illinois. She teaches ballet, pointe, and Pilates mat at the School of Ballet Chicago, and has served as a Children’s Ballet Master for the School’s performance opportunities. She choreographs both within the School as well as for freelance opportunities outside of the company. She is expanding her work in classical and neoclassical styles of ballet by incorporating philosophical studies of art and aesthetics into her work, in order to bring thought-provoking and engaging pieces to audiences everywhere.
